Christianity the Scam
Consider the following points:
- If four or five people came up to you and claimed to have the same dreams and visions that you should give them ten dollars, would you give them the ten dollars? You would have to be pretty crazy to do so. Yet this is exactly the way Christianity was initially presented to the world by Saul/Paul and his colleagues who claimed to have the same dreams and visions of Jesus who by was by then dead by about 30 years. And they didn’t have any historical basis for any of their supposed dreams and visions. Although later Christian authorities tried to drum up supposed historical proofs for the so-called 'new testament', they failed to prove anything.
- What about the absurd things that Jesus supposedly said, according the the so-called 'new testament'? Things like: “I’ve not come to bring peace – but a sword” (Matthew 10:34-36); “bring them here (my enemies) and kill them in front of me” (Luke 19:27); “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, and even his own life - he cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:26) and “If you do not remain in me (actually most of today’s world population), you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned” (John 15:6). Apparently even according to the so-called 'new testament', Jesus was not about love, but about hate and destruction.
- Furthermore, what about the Jewish concept of the messiah – which is starkly different from the Christian concept of messiah? The Jewish concept of messiah is someone who will bring peace to the entire world through an increased knowledge of God on the part of humanity. And that the Jewish people will be restored to their ancient homeland. But according to Judaism, God is the same both before messiah comes and after he dies. God is eternal and fully above space and time – He is all powerful and is infinitely above any human being – and certainly infinitely above even messiah. To claim that the messiah can contradict the five books of Moses and all of the prophecy's contained in Judaism for messiah’s coming is simply baseless nonsense. The proposal that Jesus will bring world peace is ridiculous since it contradicts the so-called 'new testament' itself. How can there be world peace if, according to the so-called 'new testament', in his first coming he denies that he’s come to bring peace and in his second coming the world gets destroyed?
- The real Jesus is not described in the so-called 'new testament'. The real Jesus claimed to be the Jewish messiah – not the Christian supposed version of messiah concocted by Saul/Paul and his associates. And he was rejected, with good reasons, by the Jewish sages, some of whom personally knew Jesus. He is talked about in the Talmud tractate Sanhedrin. The Christian church repeatedly tried to have that portion of the Talmud which talks about Jesus censored. Using death treats against Jewish people or by other means of coercion, the portion of tractate Sanhedrin that talks about Jesus was edited out of some copies. In other cases, entire copies of tractate Sanhedrin were forcibly burned. The Jewish people had a religious requirement to reject Jesus as being the messiah – just like we rejected two or three other false messiahs. The story in the so-called 'new testament' of Jesus having been supposedly betrayed by some Jewish people is another false fabrication by Saul/Paul and his associates.
- Members of the Christian clergy frequently try to argue for their religion by ‘picking and choosing’ one or more sentences from the Jewish bible and then ‘twisting’ those sentences to make them appear to support Christianity. The truth can be arrived at only by accepting the whole of the Jewish bible as the word of God and not by ‘picking and choosing’.
- What is the supposed relationship of Jesus to, heaven forbid, God? Christianity is a vague religion and thus various denominations of Christianity have conflicting views of Jesus. Some say he is a partner to, heaven forbid, God. Some say he is part of, heaven forbid, God. Some say he is the same as, heaven forbid, God, etc. This ambiguity underscores the stupid and vague way the so-called 'new testament' was written by Saul/Paul and his companions.
- What is the Christian purpose of life and existence? To be partner to a conflict between the supposed forces of good and evil – with random, meaningless and unpredictable outcomes. According to Christian doctrine, there is no real purpose to anyone’s life. Then, according to the account given in the so-called 'new testament', when Jesus comes a second time, the world gets destroyed and all the disbelievers (presumably two thirds of humanity) get cast into a river of fire. After this destruction, Jesus sits with his cronies in heaven and in effect says: ‘Na-Na, I told you so’ - like an immature brat (see the book of Revelations).
IN CONCLUSION: God is One in every sense and from every perspective. God is not a schizophrenic multi-persona being. It’s just that from our limited human perspective, we can’t conceive of such a lofty and perfect Unity. Even in the case of the creation of mankind, the statement in the Torah, “let us make man in our image”, does not imply any multiplicity in God and does not imply a human image for God himself. It’s simply that a being so perfect in every way cannot create an imperfect human without help from other incomplete beings which He Himself created. Thus “let us make man in our image” is a statement of humility and truth on the part of God. Furthermore in the case of the prophet Isaiah, where he claimed to have seen God sitting upon a high and lofty throne (Isaiah 6:1), this refers to a limited, symbolic prophetic vision designed to convey a message to people. In His essence, God never has and never will take the form of a physical human being. Furthermore, to assert that God, heaven forbid, personally took part in something as lowly and grub as human reproduction - is blasphemous. God made a world where human beings have freedom to choose between good and evil. And there are consequences for doing either. Evil results from opposing His will and good results from doing His will. And ultimately, it is God who makes those consequences.
